Having read Darryl Schoon’s other books with engrossed attention, I was excited to review DOCKING AT THE MOTHER SHIP - NOTES ON GOING HOME. To my amazement, he surpassed my expectations. If Daryl’s crafting of Docking at The Mothership aims to help ‘shake up and wake up’ the reader, he has met and delineated his objective with Divine Clarity.
It is like a spike protein to one’s spiritual DNA, reminding us of our REAL SELF. The futuristic Big Picture dynamics remind me of someone in recovery that ‘hits their bottom’ before sobering up. Difficult, but worth it! That’s what is happening in America and probably worldwide. The Great Awakening is fleshed out well (I’d instead view the so-called collapse of the world economy as an opportunity for Spiritual Growth). In God’s Economy, nothing is wasted.
His overall thesis balances logic and emotion in an accurate, relevant, and up-to-date fashion. He took his life lessons and combined rational research methods to revolutionize meaning in the here and now. Once a person picks up any of his books, setting them down is very problematic, akin to setting down your baby and wondering what it needs. His peculiar writing style appeals to me, maybe because I enjoy poetic notions that ensconce themselves in the commonsense eye.
Readers are encouraged to save silver & gold, but not of this world. Be the person who finds the gold in people rather than one that sees the dirt. His book is a great reminder to look for the good. This Labor of Love is the crowning jewel of his collection of works previously penned—a must-read.
