I'll be telling my story at the YIPA (Youth Intervention Programs Association), Quarterly Meeting of the Association Staffing Event on March 17th!  It will be held at the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center, Garden View Room 5600 85th Ave. N. Brooklyn Park, MN 55443

Here's the itinerary:  

• A panel of female offenders currently incarcerated. These women will share painful experiences and candidly describe the behaviors that led to their incarceration.
• Timothy Cameron, who is a former addict with a story that would be difficult to make up. He bravely explains his early years and describes how his story would have been so much different if he had a trusting adult in his life as a youth.
• Youth from Northfield Union of Youth (a YIPA member). They will explain how this program is helping them make good decisions and be part of their community.

YIPA has invited legislators.  I'm so looking forward to working with YIPA!
